In Haiti, electricity is not always available when you flip the light switch. Imagine running a household of thirty-three girls without a dependable electrical source. Even in the largest cities in Haiti losing power for hours is common, and it is not unusual to have extended periods of time without power. A properly working generator is a necessity in Haiti, and the Faith House Orphanage is no exception. We need to upgrade the generator at the orphanage, and we have an immediate need for inverter batteries to keep the current system operational. A dependable generator is a critical piece of equipment in supporting the well-being of the girls, preserving food supplies and running other systems and appliances in the house. Our goal is to raise $7500 for the purchase of a new generator system. Faith House’s lights shine in Jacmel because of your generosity. Thank you for investing in internal things and sending a gift of hope.
